Chef Chris Moran joins Robert's Place

Robert and David, of Robert’s Place Restaurant are very pleased to introduce Chef Chris Moran.

After plunging into the Advanced Culinary Management program at George Brown College School of Hospitality in Toronto, Chris headed west where he received a wealth of cooking experience in bistros and catering in Vancouver.As head chef at Trafalgars Bistro in Vancouver from 1997 to 2009, his willingness to explore exotic ingredients grew rapidly as did his popularity. Chris’ appearances on Vancouver TV shows like City Cooks and Fusion Fare ignited his ambition to share his cooking experience and enthusiasm for food with others.Chris will be creating seasonal and weekly menus, cooking for private parties and wine tastings and co-leading the kitchen along with Robert and Kathy.

Robert’s says, " I am very proud of the hospitality and value we offer to the community and I am confident the addition of Chris will enhance what already exists". Gabriolans can look forward to theme nights in conjunction with our tradition of creating delicious Chinese cuisine Thursday evenings and a updated menu starting Nov 18. Some highlights of the winter menu are braised lamb shanks, a portabella mushroom moussaka and a grilled apple cheddar and fig ginger jam panini to name a few.
